"keepers" by Lorri is one of the good things that have developed in my life since June of 1996 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. A few days after the diagnosis, I received a hand-made card of encouragement from a wonderful woman I met at my doctor's office. I was so touched and encouraged by her concern! I was also impressed and intrigued by the card itself.

When I was well enough to return to work as Director of the Early Learning Center (ELC), it was my goal to use this media of hand-made greeting cards to brighten the lives of the children and their families, especially when they were going through difficult times.

In 1997 I began making and donating handmade cards to benefit The Early Learning Center. This web-site is an outgrowth of that fund-raising effort, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the ELC.

My prayer is that each person who receives one of these "keepers" cards will be encouraged, uplifted, and blessed. I thank God every day for my continued healing and for giving me the desire and the opportunity to touch the hearts and lives of others.
